No More NHS Dentists Left to Commit Fraud

There was an interesting piece on 5 Live Drive yesterday about how a dentist had defrauded the NHS of £600,000 by registering false patients over a three year period. Peter Allen asked a representative of the NHS Anti Fraud Department how he could ensure this could never happen again in future. He said: "That's easy. There won't be any NHS dentists in the future." Well, actually, he didn't. He wittered on about new systems in place, blah blah. But if he had been telling the truth, that's what he ought to have said.
