PodCast 5: Interview with John Hayes MP

My latest Podcast is now available for download. Its a twenty minute chat with John Hayes MP. It's a bit longer than normal because we kept finding new things to discuss. John is chairman of the Cornerstone Group and we talk about his views on social conservatism, David Cameron, why he didn't suppoprt David Davis, a local bookshop in his constituency, the impotence of the free market and much else besides. John and I are on different wings of the Party on social issues, yet I found this one of the most thought-provoking chats I've had with a politician in a long time. Do stick with it to the end, as he says some very interesting things towards the end of the interview. John had never heard of podcasting before and seemed truly fascinated by it. When we had finished he insisted on listening to the whole thing again from start to finish.

Iain,really ,really interesting.

he talks an awful lot of sense about inclusivity-class especially.I also liked his views on our townscapes.More than anything,he comes across as a genuine bloke that i think we should be seeing a lot more of instead of people like Letwin

Where I would disagree with him is on his reasons for voting for Cameron over davis, the working class lad from the council estate.
