The Observer on Political Blogs

Ned Temko lifts the lid on the world of political blogging in The Observer today in a major (and most excellent) feature. He quotes Guido as saying...

'The main problem for everybody for me is that (a) I don't want a career in politics (b) I don't want a career in journalism (c) I have resources and ability, and (d) I don't give a flying fuck what you think.'

As if we didn't know.

That really is an excellent quote.

Excellent quote as Leon says. unfortunately they expect us mere mortals to contribute to their coffers to read the rest and I've been spending my BugBug Beans on far more important things this month (whisky, cartridges and ladies who dance most entertainingly).

Iain - apart, possibly, from item (a), much the same could be said of yourself!

I read this very good article earlier today. I do, however worry about Ned, an American if I'm correct, who thinks the ultra-liberal Daily Kos et al are suppporting a Republican for Senate against a Democrat (Ned Lamont is a far-left Democratic primary challenger to Lieberman).

With respect to the obvious genuine bloggers, Guido and Iain, could Mr. Temko have picked a more mainstream bunch of tree-based-media types, even if he tried?
