World Leaders Lampooned in ActionAid Aids Reminder

ActionAid is launching a new campaign today to remind world leaders remind world leaders that their promises to make Aids history are 'on record'. They've designed album covers, which are rather good. There are seven or eight of them altogether, so I'll post them all during the course of the day as they're rather good. And in return, here's what ActionAid have to say...

ActionAid say: In July 2005 Bush, Blair and other G8 leaders committed to ensuring that Aids drugs will be available to all those who need them by 2010. This promise generated hope for the 39 million people living with HIV/Aids. But, according to ActionAid, without immediate, substantial funding this promise will be broken. One year on ActionAid wants to say to each of the G8 leaders, “It’s time for you to put your money where your mouth is”. Brendan O’ Donnell, ActionAid youth campaigns manager, said: “Without sufficient funding the target is meaningless. If 2005 was the year of promises, 2006 must be the year of action. Millions of deaths can be prevented, but if world leaders are going to get the funding in place it must happen now."

Putin looks scary (but then gain, he is) as a cross between Dracula and Edward Scissor Hands, and Bush looks.....well, rather worryingly like Bush! Cameron's is rather good - very 80's!
