Proof That the Era of Bulling & Spin is Not Over

Fraser Nelson has a good story on the new Spectator Coffee House blog. It surrounds a text message from Gordon Brown's Spin Doctor, a loathsome little oik called Damien McBride, to Anthony Browne of The Times, who has committed the cardinal sin of handing in his notice to become the new chief exec of Policy Exchange. So the era of bullying and spin has ended. My arse.

Is this a pledge that you will condemn a Tory official questioning a journalist's motives in pursuing a particular story?

Spin will cease to exist the day David Cameron (and Mr Hilton) ascends to the highest office in the land. Of this, I am certain beyond doubt.

I think that's "oik" you meant, Iain, not "oil", although agree oil of vitriol would describe the nasty little turd accurately.

You don't seriously, really, deep down, expect us to believe that you really believe that spin is isolated to New Labour do you Iain?

Changing which piggy noses are in the trough does not count as 'change' to anyone but you political careerists.

"a loathsome little oik "

I am sure that you can Blog better than this.

No more to say than "Can do better".

Oh, come on! This is a spin doctor we're talking about!

"loathsome little oik" is putting it mildly.

Poor, bruised little Anthony Browne. I'm sure he's never been exposed to anything as vicious as this before. I hope the Times, Policy Exhange or indeed this blog is helping him through it - perhaps with some counselling.
