What is the difference between the Labour Party and the Tory Party?

Anymouse.
The Tories were in power for 18 years and left an economy that worked. Labour have been in power for 12 years and have left an economy that doesn't work.

The Tories have never started a war on two fronts, kept the military on a peace-time establishment, had a part-time Minister of Defence in charge, or had 4 Ministers of Defence in 4 years of constant combat.

The Tories have never raised income tax for the poorest to pay for a tax break to the comfortably well-off for political gain.

The Tories have never resorted to trying to pass legislation to lock up people for 3 months because they have brown skins and are religious.

That'll do for now, I'm sure others will be along to give other differences.

The Conservative Party has no cause to follow politics of envy.

The Conservative Party recognises and deplores entrenched poverty - the Labour Party feeds off it.

The Conservative Party would like most of us to be well educated; Labour would like all of us to be equally and poorlyeducated.

The Conservative Party does not wish to destroy the Union nor to make us subjects of a European Empire.

I could go on for another 50 points like this but this should be enough to educate Ignoranonymous for the time being.

Global Warming?

A lead IPCC author says there is so much of a natural variability in weather it makes it difficult to come to a scientifically valid conclusion that global warming is man made. “It well may be, but we’re not scientifically there yet.”

The Conservative Party are not led by Gordon Brown.

Douglas Carswell MP, of whom his blog you linked to, turns out to be a rather unsophisticated climate change denier. His blog really did not say anything interesting and I wonder why you linked to it. Are you a climate change denier as well?

Hi. I have a friend you should meet. He's called "Facts". I doubt he'd agree with you on anything.

38 degrees, is, I believe the brainchild of St Anita Roddick's widower. Doesn't he have anything better to do with his life?

Iain, why did you study German instead of Politics at UEA?
I would like to know

Because at that stage, I intended to become a German teacher. It was before I was really into politics.

Delighted to see that at least one Tory MP might be escaping from the global warming fascists. You should read that book too, Iain.
